Datadog Integration

Overview

SignalPick works seamlessly with Datadog. Filtered traces are forwarded to your Datadog account, reducing your APM costs while maintaining full visibility.

Configuration

Set Datadog as your downstream exporter:

signalpick-agent.yaml
exporters:
  datadog:
    api_key: ${DD_API_KEY}
    site: datadoghq.com  # or datadoghq.eu

What Gets Forwarded

SignalPick forwards:

  • ✅ All errors and exceptions
  • ✅ Latency spikes and anomalies
  • ✅ Unique trace patterns
  • ✅ One exemplar per repeated pattern

SignalPick aggregates:

  • ⚡ Repeated successful operations
  • ⚡ Duplicate trace patterns
  • ⚡ High-volume health checks

Dashboard Compatibility

Your existing Datadog dashboards continue to work. You’ll see the same data — just less of the noise.
